It’s been a very few weeks for Sac City Tech with not much time to communicate with you. In fact we missed last weeks email altogether. Today’s message must be brief. Something learned from several networking groups has been how important it is get to know, like and trust people in order to promote business and referrals. In this day and age, people will shop all over to find the best price. But as people get to know each other, they are more likely to do business with those that they trust and know that they will get better service even if it costs a little more.
The moral of the story is, spend time to get to know people and don’t put the hard sell on people, especially in a first meeting. Set a 1:1 meeting in person, or even on the phone. Tell your story (not life story..hahah) so they know who you are and what you are about. And if the other person doesn’t volunteer their information, ask. If you think about it, you won’t know if you like the person or they you if you don’t spend some time getting to know each other. That is when business happens, referrals come and partnering happens. That’s it for this time.
Have a great, successful and prosperous week. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you!
